Mexico’s Independence Day

PIMSA Industrial Developers celebrates this month of September as the month of Mexico’s Independence!

At midnight on September 15, 1810 from the small town of Dolores (Guanajuato), the Catholic priest Miguel Hidalgo y Costilla called for the Independence of Mexico from the Spanish colonial government. This became known as the “Grito de Dolores” or Cry of Dolores.

Since October 1825, the anniversary of this event is celebrated on September 16 as Mexico’s Independence Day.
